Brodie Grant is a full time volunteer teacher at the Place of Grace Foundation, a school in one of the largest slum communities in Bangkok. All the students are from disadvantaged backgrounds, having no parents, or parents / carers who are abusive, addicted to drugs or incarcerated. Without the support provided by the school the future for these children is bleak to say the least. At the school Brodie teaches English and other skills helping these children achieve internationally recognized diplomas – something that can provide life-changing opportunities for them, their families and their community. Brodie is passionate about helping children overcome adversity and break the cycle of poverty She loves to create ways for her students to excel academically, spiritually, and creatively. Before transitioning to full-time ministry and teaching, Brodie built a successful career as a copywriter and internet marketer. Her entrepreneurial spirit and expertise in crafting compelling messages equipped her to excel in business and now drive her innovative approach to teaching. With a heart for service and a mind for strategy, Brodie is dedicated to empowering others, especially children born into poverty, to reach their God-given potential.

Here’s a summary of the video:

Hi there! I’m Brodie, and I want to share the story of how I took a leap of faith that completely changed my life.

For years, I worked as a copywriter and internet marketer, but I felt God calling me to something more—something that would serve others in a deeper way. In early 2023, I took my first big step by traveling to the United States to join a Discipleship Training School (DTS) with Youth With a Mission (YWAM) in Montana.

The DTS was a six-month program that prepared me for outreach by helping me grow both spiritually and practically. It taught me how to have the head knowledge and heart knowledge to confidently follow God and make a real impact in the lives of others.

When I returned to Thailand, I fully stepped into this calling. I now work as a full-time teacher at Place of Grace, a school in one of Bangkok’s largest slum communities. Here, I teach and mentor vulnerable and underprivileged children, providing them with the education, skills, and love they need to break free from the cycle of poverty and find hope for a brighter future.

This journey hasn’t been without challenges. Raising the funds to make it possible—$14,000 USD to cover tuition, flights, rent, visas, and living costs—was a significant step of faith. But I’ve been amazed at how God has provided and how others have come alongside me through prayers, encouragement, and financial support.

If you’d like to follow along or be part of this journey, I’d love to connect with you! You can find regular updates on my Instagram, Facebook, or email newsletter. Most of all, I’d appreciate your prayers as I continue to serve and love the amazing students at Place of Grace.

Thank you for being part of my story!
